Collin County Community College Shot Fire

Have you heard about latest news about gunfire or shot fires incident in Collin County Community College? It is reported that Collin County Community College, Texas campus is on lock down because of shot fired on campus. An e-mail alert, sent shortly after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to students and staff of the Collin County Community College District, warned that shots had been fired and that the central campus in McKinney was closed.

The Collin County Community College District is a community college district which serves Collin and Rockwall Counties, located north and northeast of Dallas. Founded in 1985, the district has grown as the county has grown: from around 5,000 students in 1986 to about 45,000 in 2008.

Collin County Community College confirmed that shots were fired at the McKinney Police Department near the Central Park Campus, shortly after 9 a.m. CT today, and that the shooter has been confirmed dead. The Dallas Morning News reported as of 1 p.m. ET today that the gunman was shot and killed after shooting countless times at the police station.

The suspect of gunfire in Collin County Community College may have driven a Ford F-150 pickup with a trailer to the station, where it was quickly engulfed in flames, possibly due to ammunition inside the vehicle, Deputy Chief Scott Brewer said at a morning press conference.
