Bhuvan: ISRO’s Answer to Google Earth Posted: 13 Aug 2009 09:18 AM PDT More Jobs & Sample Question Papers at GJ Tutorial The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) launched 'Bhuvan' on August 13, 2009. It is being seen as a challenger to Google Earth (Bhuvan means earth, in Sanskrit). Developed in house Bhuvan will provide high resolution imagery which will be more accurate than Google earth. Google Earth can show details upto 200 metres while Bhuvan can show images upto 10 meters.
