Department of Education commissioned Florida Center for Reading Research (FCRR) to develop a Web-based data management system for recording and reporting student data from the Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading, so you can gain reporting of the results for the Professional development Log for Reading/Literacy Coaches. The main reason why it is suggested to get PMRN Florida registration is to obtain and easily access reliable information to Florida educators about their students' progress in learning to read. Educators require timely and accurate data about each student's progress in acquiring critical reading skills to effectively plan classroom instruction and provide timely and appropriate interventions. Schools must register to use the PMRN Florida registration for reporting scores from the Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading, including scores received from the K-2 Electronic Scoring Tool (K-2 EST) and the 3-12 Web-based Assessment Module (3-12 WAM). Schools using the PMRN to report hours through the Professional Development Log for Reading/Literacy Coaches (Coach’s Log) must also register. For assessment schedule of 2010-2011 PMRN registration, schools registering to use the PMRN must progress Monitor students using the Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading as well as to have all staff that will be assessing the students properly trained in the administration of the Florida Assessments for Instruction for Reading.
